Fruit Bat is part of an ongoing relationship with BBC and the Bluey team, creating seasonal content for families and fans. For this project, the team selected the character artwork and Adam translated it into a detailed pumpkin etching, preserving the recognizable likeness across a curved surface.
By varying the depth of his cuts, Adam controlled how much light passed through each part of the design. He paired that detailed carving with tailored studio lighting, process footage and a polished final edit using audio supplied and approved by the team.
The finished video was published through the Bluey/BBC Instagram page as a collaboration with Adam. Fruit Bat represents a partnership that has evolved across multiple seasons, with each project refining the way character artwork, lighting and storytelling come together for Bluey's audience.
