ADAM BIERTON: FROM HOBBYIST TO HALLOWEEN HERO

Anyone can hold a knife to a pumpkin, but it takes a truly magical touch to turn it into a work of art. Meet Adam Bierton - New York's celebrated pumpkin carver, 3D sculptor, and the man behind that famously award-winning mustache!

A visual arts graduate from the esteemed School of the Arts in Rochester, Adam's tryst with pumpkin carving began as a simple hobby back in 2001. Fast forward to his move to Brooklyn in 2012, and things took a thrilling twist. Sweeping local carving competitions off their feet, Adam caught the eye of the elite Maniac Pumpkin Carvers. What began as a pastime quickly transformed into a fiery passion, turning every fall into a showcase of spectacular skill and spooky creativity.

Adam's carving genius didn’t go unnoticed for long. In 2015, Super Delicious Entertainment came knocking with an invitation to compete in the Food Network's “Halloween Wars.” Not only did he participate – he clinched the title! The triumph didn't stop there. The Food Network dialed him up again in 2017, this time for the "Halloween Wars Hayride of Horror." Here, Adam sculpted some of the grandest pumpkins sourced from across the country.

From charming local audiences to dazzling the national stage, Adam's carved creations for celebrities and titans of industry, further cementing his reputation in the competitive art scene.

But ask him, and he'll tell you - it's not just about the accolades. Every fall, with renewed enthusiasm, Adam dives deep into refining his craft. Always experimenting, always evolving, and always ready to elevate pumpkin carving to awe-inspiring heights.
